On Reading Labels

mindset

When you first start reading ingredient labels, everything seems fine. You don't know what you're looking for.

Then you learn a few things — parabens, fragrance, certain preservatives — and suddenly everything seems terrible. Every product is suspect. Shopping becomes exhausting.

But eventually, you build a mental library. You know what to avoid, you know which brands you trust, and you stop reading every single label.

The goal isn't to be paranoid. It's to be informed enough that you don't have to think about it constantly.

That's the sweet spot.
